Bridges

  • Combat tooth loss, smile anxiety and eating difficulties
  • Enjoy food like you used to
  • Reclaim your smile confidence
  • Can be an excellent alternative to full or partial dentures and implants

Sometimes losing teeth is unavoidable due to age or accidents. And several missing teeth can turn eating and speaking into a chore.

Maybe you eat on one side of your mouth because you can’t chew through food otherwise.

If you can feel the stress that missing teeth can put on your jaw as well as your mind, consider a dental bridge provided by Eden Dental Studio Studio. A dental bridge is several connected ceramic or porcelain teeth fixed to your remaining teeth on either side of a gap.

This restoration takes the stress off your jaw and the remaining teeth, allowing you to eat and chew with confidence. So no more eating on one side of your mouth. Replacing several missing teeth works wonders for a healthy, confident smile.

Whether it’s your first time getting a bridge, or if you wish to renew an old one, our team of experts at Eden Dental Studio Studio is here to make sure your dental bridge is completed to an impeccable standard using the highest-grade materials.

A dental bridge is one or more teeth expertly crafted to resemble the rest of your teeth, using a variety of dental materials such as porcelain or zirconia. These teeth are connected and attached to a metal bridge. On either side of these replacement teeth are crowns, which cover your natural teeth on either side of a gap, securing the whole bridge in place.

Because of this, the enamel on these teeth must be filed down. If you’d prefer not to have the supporting teeth filed down, you and your dentist can discuss an implant-supported bridge. This doesn’t affect the remaining teeth but requires a replacement root to be attached to the jaw instead for a strong and durable bridge.

Bridges are an effective way to replace multiple missing teeth at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

A dental bridge is one or more teeth connected together, to replace multiple missing teeth at a time.

A dental implant involves the fitting of a replacement root into the jaw, then a replacement tooth (crown) onto the replacement root.

Bridges can be designed to attach to nearby teeth or to fix onto an implant.

Dental implants are excellent at restoring a single missing tooth due to its strength and longevity.

Implants can be used for multiple missing teeth, but require surgery and a longer recovery time.

Dental bridges however are a great alternative to replace one or more missing teeth while being less invasive.

Traditional dental bridges have no recovery time, but implants supported bridges do as the fitting of the initial implant involves surgery.

Once your traditional bridge is fitted, there’s no recovery time as no invasive procedures are involved. There will be a period of adjustment of 1-3 weeks while you get used to your restorations.

You may be advised to eat softer foods at first, before gradually moving on to tougher foods as you grow accustomed. You’ll be invited back for a review to see your progress and if you have any further questions or concerns.
